Our Track Record Providing Anatomy and Physiology Courses Part One

Published on 31st December 2022

Welcome to Anatomy and Physiology Online

So why are you here?

What do you need an anatomy and physiology qualification for?

You might be like some of my students who were looking for a career change and wanted to do the anatomy & physiology to augment their training in things like massage or physiotherapy or kinesiology, Bowen technique, aromatherapy, reflexology, yoga, Pilates. Maybe you just had your life touched by one of those therapists or exercise regimes. Or maybe you're looking for supplementary income and you're going to train in something like that. Whatever the reason you need anatomy & physiology, I'm guessing that you've been searching around. Maybe your college has recommended us to you or maybe Google has brought us up, but there's a myriad of courses out there with different price ranges, different exam boards, different levels of qualification and it's really confusing.

So, I'm here to demystify all of that, and tell you about my course. My name is Gill Tree, and I started the anatomy & physiology course, way back in 2008. So, we've had a track record of running this course although obviously we've updated it since then. We started this e-course in 2008 but before that, I want you to cast your minds back to 1989. Some of you weren't even born then - 1989 was the year that I was sitting on the fence going.. shall I? shan't I? do I? don't I? can I? can't I do a massage course? I do not know what made me want to do a massage course, I hadn't even had a massage at that point, but I signed up to do a massage course, completely fell in love with it and launched my own massage school in 1992 which I had it for 22 years.

It was based at St. Thomas's Hospital, in London, in Westminster and we taught all sorts of courses like baby massage. Back in 1994, I worked in the special care baby unit in East London , teaching parents and the staff, some very simple positive touch and massage techniques to help support premature babies and babies that were born sick. So why am I telling you all this? I suppose it's really to show that I also have a track record and how I got to be where I am today with offering the anatomy and physiology course.

I want you to know a little bit about who I am, just so you feel like you know me, and that if you ever want to phone up - I'm there to support you.

Another thing you might find out about me if you go on Amazon, is that my first book was published in 2004. It's something I was very, very proud of and you can only get a second-hand copy these days. But I’ve just checked and it's still there on Amazon.
