There are 3 ways to access the 15 units of the course.

1/ Click the link in the tool bar at the top of the e-course called “Anatomy and Physiology” you will get a drop-down menu to select courses from there. You must read all the pages (about 16) in “Getting Started” to know how to follow the anatomy and physiology course, access pathology homework and find vital information about the anatomy and physiology exam.

2.When you login you can click on your name and select “dashboard” from the drop-down menu. You will also be able to see your progress here.

3/At the end of each unit, there is a link to the next unit.

Muscles do I need to learn them all?

There are 640 muscles in the body and the ITEC syllabus require you to know 72  So yes, you do need to know those 72. I know it is pretty hard going, so suggest you do one a day and make some flash cards to revise from. Also remember the pass mark is just 50% so there is lots of room for error!

What is the book you recommend for the course?

An Introductory Guide to Anatomy and Physiology by Louise Tucker.  Not the best a and p book on the shelf, however it has been written for the ITEC exam board, so worth having a copy. A second hand one would be fine.

Can I see past exam papers?

We are not allowed to circulate past papers but there are mock exams as follows:

The skeletal system mock exam is at the end of the skeletal unit. Muscular system mock exam is at the end of the muscles, origins and insertions unit. Cardio-vascular and respiratory system mock exam at end of respiratory unit. Nervous, endocrine systems and skin mock exam are found at the end of skin unit.

There is also a full 55 minute optional exam in unit 15, Optional Exam.

We will also send you a few sample questions provided by ITEC when you book your exam

How do I access the online exam?

A PC, Mac or laptop is preferred. On these devices there must be a webcam either built in or attached and a mouse.  You may not touch the keyboard during the exam - we recommend you cover your keyboard with a sheet of paper to remind you.

Or

You may use an iPad or tablet as long as you have a separate device such as a phone to join the invigilator via zoom.
